There are so many it’s hard to know where to start. Here is a handwritten card from our former Governor that she wrote when the Raleigh News and Observer, our state’s largest newspaper, called our founder Nathan Ligo “Tar Heel of the Week” one week in 2011. Being called “Tar Heel of the Week” by this newspaper is no small honor in North Carolina, as evidenced by the Governor’s personal congratulations.  There is a representation of the N&O article below the card, but you can also see it online by going to:
